Late Sales Executive, Up to £18K, Kent, ref: V391/2980

A Late Sales Executive is required to oversee the maximisation of load factor and yield for late selling products for a leading tour operator, where it will be your responsibility to minimise the risks of product remaining unsold, and maximising profitability and yield. You will be required to maintain rate of sale to achieve targeted load factors for specified destinations, achieve financial and targeted load factors of guaranteed bed stock and identify excess/shortfall of guaranteed bed stock and implement a strategy for an alternative distribution of sales. You will be required to manage the beds to seats ratio ensuring the correct mix of beds for relevant market conditions and provide a weekly report of 'dead' seats to be promoted through Seat Sales, whilst proactively maintain the flow of communication between key personnel and departments in order to achieve company and departmental objectives, and be able to provide competitive prices for various advertising mediums. A well renowned Tour Operator who specialise in activity holidays is looking for a Flights Reservations Consultant to liaise with customers with regards to their flights and deal with any flight reservation related query. A Reservation Graduate Middle East Reservations Consultant is required to join the reservations team of highly knowledgeable experienced reservations team. The position will involve handling telephone enquiries for your own product, either answered directly by them, or transferred to them by colleagues and taking enquiry calls and written enquiries from direct clients and travel agents. He/she will Tailor made itineraries and plan these in detail, taking the requirements of the client into consideration, giving expert advice and guidance when required. He/she will fully research all itineraries, from the information/costings held on our client’s in house FIT system or on file, Galileo for flight information, manuals and guides where necessary. You will consult with our ground handlers before a quotation finally becomes a booking and ensure that clients are advised of likely timescale for this process. This varied position will also involve sending requests to our booking agents or property (varies by product) to instigate the bookings for each segment of any tailor made section of their holiday. You will follow up any waitlisted or on request section and make sure the clients is made aware of the status of their booking and ensure the smooth running of any booking and provide pre departure service to clients as per our booking conditions and ensure that clients receive their travel information and travel documents in good time as per the set schedule, i.e. (FIT and individual traveller bookings. To be considered for this position you must have travelled to at least two countries in the middle east and have good knowledge both geographically and culturally.

Through direct and trade email activity, brochure, website, advertising campaigns you will compile copy & headlines which will be compelling and persuasive. You will also write articles and features on destinations to support the website. The successful applicant will require having strong language skills, backed up with strong English language grades / professional writing qualifications. Working within the marketing department, the responsibilities of the marketing analyst will be to analyse and report on data driven through direct marketing campaigns. He/ She will provide editorial ownership of all product content for selected destinations plus copywriting, editing and proofing of accurate and grammatically correct content for web and brochure incorporating comments from suppliers. He/she will work with copywriter in scheduling new content requirements in time for web and brochure launches and work with style guide to ensure consistency across all destinations and that content conforms to the in-house Tone of Voice style. An Africa Reservations Consultant is required for this fantastic travel company. The Reservations Consultant is responsible for achieving agreed sales figures to their brand. This includes meeting both revenue and profitability targets as set by the Brand Manager/Company. An Experienced Product Manager or Hotel Contractor is required to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding specialist Tour Operator. The varied and interesting role of the Product Manager involves contracting hotel and ground arrangements for existing tours and creating new tours to add to our clients exciting European and Worldwide programs. The responsibilities of this excellent position will be putting together selections of overland tours within the African savannah’s ranging from short breaks up to long treks crossing land from Kenya through to South Africa. You will be involved in liaising with ground handlers, hoteliers and accommodation suppliers to ensure all ground arrangements are booked according to the clients it itinerary. You will be involved in preparing all administration, sending out itineraries, making amendments and taking payments.
The successful candidate will have 1st hand knowledge of 2 African countries within east and southern Africa, you must have travelled on an overland safari. You will also have had experience selling safari tours either in the UK or in Africa. You will be a self motivated individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, You will be able to work on your own initiative putting together each piece of the booking and handling any queries or changes.

You will then create a bespoke tailor-made itinerary, providing a meticulous attention to detail ensuring that all special requests are met.  Needless to say the successful candidate will have a passion for luxury travel - if your going to travel you might as well do it with style? And be able to organise a full range of travel options for your clients. You will need the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and knowledge of a CRS would be advantageous.

Travel Operations Team Leader, £24 - £25K, Hampshire. ref: V596/2569

A leading luxury Tour operator are looking for an Air Operations Team Leader to join a team that prides itself on offering excellent customer service with an emphasis on choice and quality.  It will be your responsibility to take control of the day-to-day operation of all Land & Air Travel segments of a customers itinerary. This will see you monitoring and reporting on sales and demand trends on a regular basis, highlighting performance areas and putting forward recommendations to adjust prices/strategy to ensure targets are met or exceeded.  You will provide alternative air and ground arrangements when FIT or allocation space is fully booked, update spreadsheets so that fares are correct and ensure ticketing and air queues are managed in a timely manner on a daily basis or request additional allocations where shortfalls are identified. You will identify opportunities for tours that are under performing and work closely with Management to obtain special / enhanced offers to drive the sales required to meet target.  This will see you working proactively with Marketing, Sales and Reservations to ensure speed to market and maximisation of sales.  You will provide regular updates with Management to ensure all are aware of the latest offers and the areas that require focus; develop and maintain strong relationships with Airlines and Ground Operators; accurately cost special offers/Regular Price Checking and review prices and make seasonality and margin adjustments where required, whilst ensuring costs are managed against budgets.  The successful candidate will have experience of management in a tour operating environment, and use of a major CRS, with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work to deadlines.  You will have a proven track record in achieving targeted levels of revenue and gross margin, materialisation of allocations and product pricing to brochure deadlines.


USA Tailor Made Consultant, Essex / Hertfordshire Border, £16k plus commission (ote £20k - £24k)

Due to increasing demand, this excellent tour operator is looking for experienced travel / reservation consultants to work within their reservations direct sales team.
The responsibilities of the travel / reservations consultant will be to provide expert information on the USA putting together tailor made packages using scheduled airlines. You will book flights, hotels, car hire and attraction tickets using Sabre CRS and third party suppliers. You will be expected to work to targets as good commission is paid, so you will need to have good sales ability. You will also assist with amendments and cancellations to bookings.
The successful applicant will have previous travel industry experience working in a tour operator or travel agent. You will ideally possess good working knowledge of one of the CRS’s (Sabre, Worldspan, Galileo or Amadeus) and have travelled or sold the USA. You will be used to working to commission or bonuses. He/she will be an enthusiastic and self motivated individual with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Far East, India & Egypt Reservations Consultant, £18K plus Bonus, Redhill, ref: V211/2556

Reservations Consultants for the Far East, India & Egypt are required to working in a busy reservations team, for a leading cultural tour operator making reservations to some of their key destinations.  Making Reservations to these destinations you will provide a quality response to all enquirers and clients and to maximise the level of reservations and sales to achieve the product growth target, and ensure a smooth and efficient operation of all sales procedures.  This will see you respond promptly to all enquiries and actively sell the most suitable products, achieve and exceed monthly departmental targets and provide a high level of service by actively using personal and departmental travel experience and knowledge to provide accurate information.  You will design, plan and prepare quotes for tailor made itineraries adhering to deadlines, actively up sell on every booking and convert all enquiries into bookings, and then making sure all arrangements are confirmed with suppliers and contact clients regularly to advise on the booking status.  The successful candidate will have experience in the travel industry, of tailor-making holidays with a CRS and a good knowledge of two of the three destinations sold.  You will be customer focussed, showing a drive and determination to provide the best quality service to customers; planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work to ensure deadlines are achieved; self-motivated and enthusiastic; good communication skills and a team player working co-operatively with others in the team and other departments.

A highly regarded specialist travel company are looking for Tailor-made Travel consultants to join their friendly team to help provide a superior service to their clients. You will be working in a specialist department providing the highest level of customer service and tailor-making trips to your clients needs. You will be required to take enquiries over the telephone, fully understand their needs and then ensure that there is availability on the options as requested. You will ensure that clients are fully advised on the options that are open to them and on the different destinations and tours that are in the brochure, ensuring all information is given to the client promptly and accurately. You will look after all aspects of the sales process and confirm bookings, including invoicing, taking payment within set times, and ensuring any deviant requests from clients are confirmed, e.g. hotels, excursion tickets, and flights. At the appropriate time it will also be your responsibility to reserve, issue and invoice any publish fare tickets, and advise clients of any schedule or itinerary changes to booking. The successful candidate will have clear and concise communication skills and be able to communicate to clients at the most discerning of levels. You will have the ability to deliver a customer focused sale, and ensure that all sales opportunities are maximised through the offering of a complete service. Experience of working in a Travel Reservations/Sales environment is preferred, as is experience of a CRS but is by no means essential. An interest in the Arts would also be of benefit.
