A unique eco tour operator specialising in unusual safaris to Africa are looking for a marketing manager to work closely with the MD and middle management to ensure that the brand values and ethos of the company are appropriately represented. You will proactively create and implement a marketing and PR strategy; working to communicate the brand to the luxury travel industry and clients, ensuring consistency of branding across all collateral both on and offline such as the website, brochures, social media channels and all other client facing materials. You will also be overseeing a small marketing team with their day to day activities and also their progression and development, as well as working closely with the sales team to ensure that the approach to sales and reservations is consistent with the marketing approach and liaise with external consultants, ensuring they are supplied with the appropriate collateral, represent the brand correctly and are regularly reviewed and results analysed. The role requires a self-starting individual who is motivated by the business conservationism and eco-tourism, is flexible in their work approach, and able to work in a dynamic environment understanding the needs of working in a smaller business.  You will ideally have a qualification in marketing and 3 years of relevant travel sector experience (preferably Africa) to include budget ownership and operational experience marketing. You will have experience with developing and implementing a travel marketing strategy and operations plan, and managing external agencies.

Our client a top adventure reservations company require a reservation consultant to work in their specialist reservations team.The reservations consultant will be selling tours and tailor-made itineraries with a focus on adventure, treks and educational family holidays. The reservations consultant will be taking reservation enquires by phone and email from solo travellers to large groups and everything in between.The reservations consultant will book all aspects of the reservation, flights, hotels, tours and ancillary products such as car hire, transfers and insurance. Correspondence and communication with clients and suppliers should be to a high level of accuracy. The successful candidate will preferably have sales and travel industry experience, extensive personal travel and some experience of adventure travel or trekking and walking experience.

A digitally-savvy candidate, you will also be required to support the two other online executives on other marketing activities as required.  You will work with our clients search marketing agency and be responsible for the on-going management of the Google Adwords campaigns, helping increase exposure in paid search, achieve cost efficiencies, monitor competitor activity and manage tactical campaigns.  You will manage the daily e-marketing activity, generating ideas, writing copy, creating emails within the e-crm platform (training will be given) and monitoring response rates. An Africa Reservations Consultant is required for this fantastic travel company. The Reservations Consultant is responsible for achieving agreed sales figures to their brand. This includes meeting both revenue and profitability targets as set by the Brand Manager/Company. The ability to understand the clients requests completely, review the best holiday options for them, produce a quote and close the sale are the key roles of the reservations consultant. The reservations consultant will plan and organise sales training, ensuring ones knowledge is of the highest standards and they must be able to take on new areas to sell and have the desire to learn more on a daily basis. They will manage day-to-day enquiries entering the business, quoting and converting bookings ensuring focus on revenue and profitability. The reservations consultant must be able to meet (and surpass) agreed personal and team sales targets with agreed profitability levels. They will monitor and report sales activity as required by the Sales Manager and plan and implement ones own training needs within guidance of the Sales Manager and Budget. The reservations consultant will manage customer service levels and client satisfaction. This includes dealing with complaints (in conjunction with Sales & Brand Managers). The reservations consultant will understand emphatically the Africa travel business and they must be able to communicate and motivate via both written & verbal media. They must understand sales and be a keen, determined yet emphatic salesperson who understands the importance of relationship building at all levels for direct clients, travel agents and suppliers. Ability to analyse and report on statistical information at the highest level is essential and so is the ability to manage own time and that of others successfully. Previous Travel Industry experience is not necessarily a pre-requisite, but a love for Africa is!

You will be playing a key role in the company ensuring that all product is loaded and priced efficiently, correctly and accurately to allow the product to be sold to the general public.  Reporting to the Costing’s & Inventory Manager, the role entails accurate loading and maintaining of all details required to sell our holidays, including new flights set up, ground arrangements and all tour cost data. The position will involve working to the deadlines set out by the daily ticketing report chasing sales consultants for any pending files that have not been received and updating file status of all files with ticketing department. You will be responsible for all aspects of the enquiry, including taking brochure requests, booking and managing guests flights and providing a full after sales service. You will be required to have a strong attention to detail and organisation is also extremely important. Previous knowledge of Amadeus would be useful but not essential. You must be extremely organised with proven sales experience and have a passion for travel, and have strong first hand knowledge of the region. If you have experience in a tour operating background or an upmarket agency creating tailor made itineraries, this would advantageous. The Reservation consultant is to sell and customize a range of active holidays in Latin America for clients.
