You will be expected to deliver industry leading customer service by supporting their UK and international clients via phone, fax, email and remote access. By researching problems, analysing customer databases, interfacing with the development team, and communicating solutions back to users. The successful Helpdesk / SW Support Executive will have experience within a travel agency/tour operator/airline or business travel in a technical support role or have previous experience in a travel technology company providing technical support to travel companies. You will possess excellent communicating skills with the ability to go through problems in a logical and step by step process. You will have an interest in technology and future advancements. QA Engineer / Business Analyst, Up to £26K, London, ref: V183/2242
A rapidly growing company providing software solutions to travel agencies is seeking a Quality Analyst Engineer to join their existing travel software testing / QA team. The role will require you to evaluate travel software solutions and their impact on the travel business. Using your extensive travel knowledge you will assist the QA team with improving their current software technology through research, formulating and submitting solutions. You will assist with conducting tests, associated test environments, test planning, manual script writing and test cycle testing. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of GDS skills including ticketing, net and published fare loading, private agency fares and considerable knowledge of the travel industry. It would also be advantageous to have experience of testing web applications, automated testing, a knowledge of SQL, experience with XML and experience of working with a Booking Management Module and/or Reservation Module. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to make the step from working within a tour operator or travel agent and moving to the travel technology sector. You will need to have knowledge of fares, Ticketing and BSP.
