The cruise reservation consultant will be dealing with reservations by phone, email, and fax from both travel agents and direct clients offering detailed and accurate information and providing clients with quality customer service at all times. The cruise reservations consultant will be offering clients a variety of products ranging from mini cruises to around the world once in a life time opportunities visiting a number luxury and exotic destinations. The cruise reservations consultant will be responsible for updating their own personal blog weekly enabling clients to view their service and contact them directly. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a sales environment; experience of working within the travel industry or of selling cruise would be an advantage but is not essential. He/she will need to have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and good communication skills.

The reservations consultant will deal with booking a variety of worldwide cruise and coach tours by telephone and email, using existing travel knowledge to offer advice and close sales. The reservations consultant will be responsible for meeting and exceeding both conversion and sales targets and tailor making holidays based around the clients’ requirements. He/she will offer quality customer service and up sell where appropriate to improve the clients’ holiday experience. The reservations consultant must build and maintain strong relationships with clients to maximise sales and develop repeat clients through proactive management of the client database. The reservations consultant will assist in promotional activities and communicate in an effective way to ensure the travel company message is enhanced. The successful candidate must have sales and service experience gained from a minimum of 2 years within the travel industry with knowledge of cruise and coach touring companies with ability to portray a professional and positive attitude. He/she must have excellent self motivation and organisational skills focusing on objectives and targets under own initiative as well as being a team player. It is essential the travel consultant can demonstrate flexibility and reliability with and excellent telephone manner and communication skills. He/she must Good knowledge and experience of GDS is essential.
Luxury Cruise Consultant, £18K plus incentives, London, ref: V498/2114
A 5* Cruise company are looking for a reservation consultant to working in their opulent offices in an easy to reach central London location. As a reservation consultant you will be selling a full range of luxury product to their discerning clientele, aiming to maximise the revenue for each transaction, whilst providing excellent customer service at every given opportunity. You will answer incoming calls in line with company operating standards, responding to internal and external faxes, emails and phone messages in line with company standards with the aim to provide excellent customer service and satisfy customer needs by selling the range of Company's product range and up/switch selling where appropriate. This will be achieved by establishing customer needs, offering advice on products and provide suitable alternatives when not available which will help you achieve the necessary targets. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a travel sales environment, and be out going with excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm for the cruising product.
